Abstract

Digital transformation in education has become an inevitable trend, especially in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The digital transformation in universities currently faces numerous challenges and is occurring rather spontaneously due to limitations in information technology infrastructure and the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the field of foreign language teaching, digital transformation brings many opportunities but also presents significant challenges for universities. This article highlights the benefits of digital transformation in higher education and analyzes the key challenges that higher education institutions encounter when implementing digital transformation in foreign language teaching. Additionally, the article proposes several solutions to promote a more comprehensive development of digital transformation in foreign language teaching.
