In the current integration process, intellectual property rights play a very important role; infringement of intellectual property rights is increasing and directly affects socio-economic development. Recognizing the role and importance of intellectual property, countries around the world have constantly made efforts to encourage creative activities and protect these creative achievements through many measures. National law is one of the effective tools to achieve this goal. Serious violations of intellectual property have been regulated and strictly handled by Vietnamese criminal law. In the article below, the author provides information on regulations on intellectual property crimes in Vietnamese criminal law and, from there, proposes a number of recommendations and solutions to improve the Vietnamese legal system to meet the current need for judicial reform.
