After the 2008 global financial crisis, the world economy has experienced a number of short-term crisis cycles due to many reasons affecting the macro environment. Therefore, the role of macroprudential policies has become increasingly important for all economies. This article evaluates the practice of formulating and applying macroprudential policies of several countries, including China and India. Using the method of comparative analysis and the secondary information collected from reliable sources, the study draws lessons and recommendations for managers to formulate effective and sustainable macroprudential policies in Vietnam.
