The research investigates project-based learning method (PBL) to enhance Business English-major students’ listening
comprehension in the Academy of Policy and Development. The PBL teaching method focuses on learners, implying that learners are the center of the teaching and learning process and lecturers serve as instructors and facilitators. The research exemplified the effectiveness of PBL on the development of students’ listening competencies, particularly in the Listening course. The results show that students can access various listening sources, strengthen their pronunciation and vocabulary, and become familiar with different accents, thereby boosting their confidence in group work. It is also shown that this teaching method is relatively time - consuming and requires significant effort from both lecturers and students.
