The paper examined the impact of language skills and critical thinking on the writing ability of non-English major students (regular program) at the Academy of Policy and Development. The results indicated that students with a strong linguistic foundation, including vocabulary and grammar, along with good critical thinking skills, tend to produce more coherent and persuasive essays. The simultaneous development of these two factors contributes to improving students' academic performance and writing proficiency. The paper also proposed teaching strategies to enhance writing skills for regular program students at the Academy of Policy and Development.
